Good afternoon. On the, maniminagoodmood, 3:20PM out of the City.
I have to get home to take a child to a scheduled Summer Activity (and babysit the other child) while my Better Half is driving and shopping about town in preparation for the weekend. I will not be posting a blog tomorrow. While most of the sububan area will be travelling in to attend the 2013 Stanley Cup Winner Parade and Rally in the City, I will be taking my family and parents to the pleasant town of Columbus, OH for three nights and two days of family nuptual fun!
Y’see, my father’s-brother’s-son, my first cousin, is getting married in August. My Uncle is a Professor of Aeronautics Engineering at OSU. My cousin is a newly minted Radiologist, starting his real-deal job (vs interning) in the City. His new missus-to-be hails from Baltimore, MD. Wedding will be in Maryland.
Many of Uncle Aeronautics’ friends will not be able to attend, so La Famiglia is throwing a wedding shower, for the groom, this weekend in Columbus. I and my nuclear family are very fond of Dr. and (soon-to-be) Mrs. Radiologist and are assisting in the Shower Festivities.So, we drive tomorrow, East as the sun rises, well away from Stanley’s Cup and the cupholders headed into the City.
Well, enough about me. Though, I do want to emphasize that if there is ever an opportunity to have lunch with a friend, drop what you are doing and have lunch. Furthermore, if you have the opportunity to help a friend, and the friend (IYHO) can take on the offer successfully, you are nearly criminally negligent NOT letting your friend know of the opportunity. Ok, enough of that.
A forty-ish Frida Callow (sp) is here. The artist, feminist and thinker from Mexico is sitting three seats back. She is on her iCrackerBot, texting love notes to her lover, as well as artfully photographed images of her exposed breasts reconfigured in Instaprint to look like photo plates trom 1953. Based on her knowing smile, the person on the other side of the textversation is pleased. “Textversation” is copyrighted (SY 2013).
A very attractive, severe looking redheaded woman is sitting one seat over. She has a bright-red hair, light green eyes and a Rachel-doo from Season 2 of “Friends”. She is textversing from an iCrackerBot protected by a candy-apple-red clamshell. She’s wearing a t-shirt-ish blouse, where the arms go to her wrist, but no collar or buttons. The T-shirt suggests she has a lithe figure with an ample yet proportionatly correct bust. She looks a bit like the White Witch from “The Chronicles of Narnia” mashed up with the shapeshifter security chief on DS9. She is wearing a silver chain with a nondescript talisman. I was expecting a religious symbol, as she would make any Scotch-Irish clan proud. Early 30′s? She is definitely a 5’8″ or taller (without heels). I half want to chat with her, just to get her story. She dropped he smartphone, and said “Pardon me” in a rather sultry voice. Just sayin. BTW, “textversing” is also copyrighted SY 2013.
Also here are Duke Ellington, Barbara Boxer, the lead singer of Smashmouth, and Paula Deen’s publicist. All are armed.
